The New
Inn is a family-run, timber-framed, country pub restaurant situated in the leafy hamlet of Etchinghill, one
mile from the Channel Tunnel entrance, just outside Folkestone, Kent. Dating back to the 17th century, and nestled at
the foot of the North Downs, the pub offers great food, real ale & a very warm welcome. Vegetarian &

Tucked away in the ancient leafy village of Etchinghill (the Saxon name for 'the
hill with the babbling brook'), The New Inn is a cosy, timber-framed, pub & restaurant dating back to the
17th century. These days the inn has a fine reputation for superb cuisine, serving gourmet food, real ale,
bar snacks, coffees and traditional pub grub.
Featuring a lovely beer garden for the summer months, The
New Inn is within putting-distance of Pentland golf club, a few minutes from the Channel Tunnel terminal and
Folkestone Rugby Club, a 10-minute drive from Ashford International rail terminal, and 20-minutes from the
Dover ferry ports.
With dedicated staff and attentive service, we strive to make this corner of Kent feel
like a home-from-home. The atmosphere is welcoming, the cuisine mouth-watering, and the traditional ale thirst-quenching.
The two large fireplaces make for a relaxing dinner on a chilly evening.
